Make a Difference. Don't Stand By.
Since the beginning of the Russian military invasion, Ukraine is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most complex emergencies with millions of refugees fleeing the country and with steadily growing humanitarian needs.
The Human Rights Watch has documented cases of apparent laws-of-war violations against civilians in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and the outskirts of Kiev including Bucha, Vorzel and Zabuchchia, these violations including cases of repeated rape. An estimated 1 in 5 refugee women and girls experience sexual violence during their journeys from home, as well as in such places as refugee camps and shelters.
We at Corridor - Israel Aid for Ukraine, with the help of Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, UN Women, NATO, NATAN, IsraAid and Humans for Humans, wish to take a pro-active approach to provide accessible, complex, victim centered treatment to survivors, to be delivered as a holistic “one-stop center” that provides medical care, psychosocial support and judicial assistance.

Our Mission
The Sexual Assault Treatment Center will serve as an individualized, patient focused and needs based service available to survivors of sexual assault. The program is to provide emergency health care, tailored mental health care and diverse forms of psychosocial support, as well as follow up care and complementary services, by specially trained medical and other staff.
The patient-centered care will be provided to all victims and survivors and will focus on choices made by the victim/survivor in support of their overall health, wellbeing, and recovery. The Center will be providing care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Upon arrival, patients will be registered, their immediate needs assessed in triage. Care will be provided only with the patient’s informed consent and based on their identified specific needs, including provision of medical services in the context of sexual and reproductive health. The interventions will be tailored to needs, and inpatient care at an adjacent shelter is planned to ensure even complex needs are met.
The center is located based on needs assessment conducted in order to ensure safety, accessibility and connection to referral services of a hospital nearby, and near our shelter for victims. It will serve victims from throughout Ukraine.
We are already operating two mobile units throughout Ukraine to give immediate care, as we rapidly build the treatment center.
